Default Installed my Hytech header/exhaust today, very hard! (56k DANGER)

man i just got done puting in the header and exhaust system today was very difficult and is kinda off allignment. i need to take it to a muffler shop so they could fix it but heres the pics. also i didnt have the second o2 bung so i need them to put one on for me. cause code 63 comes on and thats the 2nd o2 sensere. well the header was difficult to put on i had to take the a/c fan off and work my way through with the header the exahust was kinda hard to the muffler folks got to mess with the hangers when i take it to them.
but the exhaust system comes out like an inch and the cannon of the muffler is like touching to top. also the control arm is like touching the pipe too.
also the heatsheald is like vibrating making a nasty noise
heres the pics to view larger pics just copy shortcut and add a " .orig.jpg" at the end off the adress in internet explorer

what you guys think?

Looks great. Very blingy. Sucks about the fitment problems.... the rattling seems common, and the headshield must be bent to all hell. But i would go get the muffler realigned to keep it off the bumper and the control arm.

Is that the resonator or the integrated cat he uses?? Well whatever it is, it looks really really low. I have seen 2 hytech setups, manifold and exhaust and it did not look like yours. They looked like there was plenty of clearance. I think either you did something wrong in the install (which I highly doubt) or he sent you the wrong pieces...

Did you shave enough metal off that tranny plate?? Maybe you did not grind enough off and the manifold is pushed up against it causing the rest of the components to be off kilter.

Maybe talk to Austin about this, he should be able to help you. Good luck.

Is it possibel that the resonator is offset to increase ground clearence, and you just have it on upside down?

AAAhhh..memories.

I think you may have it on wrong as others have said. I did not have you style cat at the time but still that thing seems too low. As noted before it looks like its out of alignment possibly from not having the tranny brace modified.

Your troubles installing the header seem minor IMHO. Remember it's a one piece long tube header so it's not just gonna slide right in. FWIW, in the future for anyone else a little pre-planning will make it a snap. Simply remove the tranny brace, remove the a/c fan, loosen the a/c bracket that holds the top a/c hose to the radiator suport, and finally remove and push aside the clutch slave cylinder and it should go right in without a hitch.

In one of your pics it looks like on of the hangers is not installed correctly and twisted. Look like it has to be moved a couple inches to fit better and straight. maybe this will help your alignment in the rear. Oh well, good luck dude and keep us posted on your dyno numbers.

Assuming that you installed everything correctly... If you pay that much for a header/exhaust setup, it should fit right the first time. You shouldn't have to take it to a muffler shop and pay them to tweak the hangers and make everything fit correctly.

You have it on the wrong hanger. Your suppose to cut the hanger that you have it on now. Bend your heatsheild and you should be good. PM Austin.

Before i shipped off the hytech goodies to ITRGURU i made sure to take detailed pics of everything to make installation a snap.

I have detailed pics of the modified tanny brace and shaved bolts. I'm a dumbass so i'll ask a local fellow member to help me upload pics for you. just be patient.

Yea that kind of sucks that such an expensive exhuast system doesn't fit correctly. My Greddy fit perfect on my GSR.
