Need help with d16 dc2 car idles funny

You're the one who put a d16 in an integra, what did you expect?

yea the car is running but it stutters at idle almost like it's going to die but jumps back up the car is good enough to get around nothing to brag about just need some help.
Does the idle surge...meaning bounce back and forth...500rpm-1200rpm, 500rpm-1200rpm.
If so, a vacuum leak is the first thing to check for.
And honestly, what help can you guys offer by coming in and just giving your oh-so-special opinion that this guy is stupid for putting a d-series in? For all you know, its his beater. He bought the shell for $1000, got the motor for free and has a good looking, efficient daily driver for next to nothing.
If you dont have something positive to contribute, dont say anything at all.

was that really called for? Maybe he's rebuilding the original engine, and it's his only car, and maybe he had a D16 laying around, or got one for cheap or free or something. So he can still get around while he builds up or rebuilds the original engine. I swear, why must people be so judgemental.

I was judgemental because he called everyone, including me, an *******. I made the first post and all I did was ask why he had the motor in there in the first place. If he honestly thought that he wasnt going to be asked why he had the motor in there, he was crazy. So, here is my contribution.
If the idle is bouncing, its more than likely a vacuum leak. Get yourself a diagram of where all the vacuum lines go and go to work matching them up. It shouldnt be too different, even though its a completely different motor. The principal should be the same. Good luck.

Well if it's a 98 engine, some of the sensors and stuff are different from the original 95 engine. I know because we just put a 97 D16Y8 into my friend's 95 DX to replace the D15B7. The vacuum lines are quite a bit different, and we had to look at a newer Civic EX that came w/ the same engine to try to figure out the routing. Of course this engine didn't come with any vac. lines, harness, or anything so we were kinda in the dark there. I know the vacuum connections from the charcoal canister to the throttle body are different between OBD1 and OBD2. We ended up having to use the D15 throttle body on the Y8 intake manifold to get the vac. and coolant lines to hook up correctly.
Damn finally there we go!!! I almost lost faith in the Honda people out there
Thanks for all the help a big thumbs up to all the people that stuck up for a single cam
props to this site and all the people out there that still make it more than a "**** you for doing that ****" site. and yes I picked up the car for $2450 without the motor and a free single cam came to me so wth a cheap *** car right? coo thanks everyone.

Your opinion means nothing.
For people who are more interested in helping rather than being ignorant post ******, heres the link to the swap. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=459793
The install was done great but we seem to have a problem with the idle. It surges and never remains steady at idle. Vacuum liines?? We'll check, thanks for the ideas.
