Turbo or Supercharger?
which is better a turbo or a supercharger? Im lookin for one for my 2000 civic SI and dont know which direction to head in. I would also like to know out of the two who makes the best brand for the car? thanx

Use the "search" function in the upper right hand corner of your screen. There are about a thousand discussions on this issue. It all depends on what you want from your car. Turbos make much more high end power while superchargers have more torque down low in the rpm band. So if you want flat out, dragstrip speed go turbo. If you want an autocross car then go sc. That way you will still have power when you have to downshift and loose rpm's.
Turbos are definitely more efficient if you are going to boost over 10 psi.
Jackson racing makes the best superchargers for honda cars. There are a lot more choices of turbochargers. Search and you will find tons of info.

Ohhh here we go again 
In a nutshell it really depends on what you intend to do with it. Superchargers tend to be more 'transparent' in that they make the car feel like it has a bigger engine. Turbos can be just as streetable but can be 'peaky' if they are not sized for the intended performance. In other words, dont slap some monster snail on there and expect to win a lot of stoplight confrontations (unless you are just brutal with the clutch drops)
Both can make a lot of power but that power presents itself in vastly diferent ways. Superchargers are known for being very linear and produce lots of (sometimes too much) touque low in the power band. Superchargers are also somewhat less eficient than turbos and make more heat so they can be more prone to detonation.
If the search function is working again spend a little quality time with it
There have been volumes written about this subject. 
P.S. for whatever its worth I have a JRSC/B18C1 hybrid at 8 psi and I love it but thats just me.
