Break out the H22A turbo charts. Even with stock injectors you can make big power.

This is our mechanics car. Its an Accord Coupe. IT did a 13.1 with stock motor and a 100 shot NOS. But this new Turbo kit we have on it makes way more power than that NOS, so it should be faster.

This is the stock motor with the great Turbo Kit with the straight T04 on it. Big turbo actually. Alot of people told us it was too big. Alot of people said we can't run stock injectors. This is an OBD1 94/95 Prelude VTEC.
so anyway, we had fun with this motor. Its is so strong. here is turning up the boost. SAME motor.
I got all freaked out during this run and let off the gas at a little over 6k because I was in 3rd gear and the dang tach was going up so fast I needed to be in 4th gear. But then we both decided not to leave the boost so high on the stock motor, so we went back to 8 PSI. But dang...that thing was gunning for 300+ easy.
this is a totally separate car fromt he 2 charts above. This is at 8 PSI on a XS turbo kit. Pretty good motor.
Remember, all of these are running stock injectors and the stock Prelude ECU. All have FMU's.
BTW the smoothing factor is on the minimum, which is 1 on a dynojet. So what you see on the graph is actual lines...no smoothing..

geez jeff, those are some really nice graphs. Turbo luders......the only factor that is different on our cars is that they are obd1. except for you turbolude.
Jeff since my H22A1 engine was rebuilt to a more boost friendly 9.0:1cr. I would like to know how much horspower I'm losing by the drop in compression ratio. Comparing to the 11psi on the 10.0:1cr H22A1 eninge.
Also, I would really like to know what your base timing was set at and also what is the timing at full throttle/7000rpm. We Luders will really like to have a steep hp curve like that. What's your secret. I casn't beleive you've been blessed and we have not.

THat run was made with timing at 16.
So my guess would be that at 7000 RPM, the timing had to be over 20.
On the ECu, the timing goes to almost 30 on some points in high RPM.
Also, on the 9:1 to 1. I would say from 15-20 HP. Per same amount of boost.

That first dyno graph looks very similiar to mine. I have a couple questions for ya. 1) What rpm is vtec kicking in? 2) You said that these are without fuel tuning? If they were tuned, can you post up the a/f graph?

I do not have any air/fuel graphs. I do not have a MOTEC meter.
I borrow one from time to time. I have learned to read how well the car is doing from looking at the graph with no smoothing. If its very smooth, then the combustion is ideal. Also, another thing is that when I use the air/fuel meter...I keep trying to get a certain air/fuel ratio....even though the car might make more power leaner or richer....
The car is going to make the most power at its most efficient point. This is not a set air/fuel number...you have to play with it until it puts out the power. This usually takes about 5 passes on the fuel and your close.
On a turbo car, I shoot for around 12 on the air/fuel ratio. BUt if the car wants to make more power lower or higher..thats great. Its all a matter of trying what works best...and hell...I have a dyno...so try and try and try I do.
What the air/fuel meter does for you, is it lets you tune the car much faster....

am i better off stayin with the mf2 that came with the fmax kit or should i change my fuel setup to say like a vortech fmu and a fpr?? those numbers are badass!!! would i also need like vafc for that kinda perfomance??
