Oil leaking down my motor (B16a) , coming from the vtec solenoid... What gasket (o-ring) to replace, and what should i order it for....

 

if its a b16a1 solenoid its a bastard gasket...new gaskets from honda will not fit right..I dont know if any else has had this problem, but when I ordered new gaskets for my solenoid from honda they didnt fit right and still leaked like a ****!

 

all Honda Acura VTEC solenoid are the same.

 

15825-pr3-005 is the part number of the VTEC solonoid

check to make sure its not your cam cap which is directly next to the vtec solinoid...that thing always leaks with age...just replaced it in my b18c1 and b18c the other day with the billet aftermarket ones

 

so they are all the same? Does it matter if i order Del sol b16 or GSR? Should i also order this other gasket ? ARe they a bastard to change?

 

easy....just dont torqe the bolts too much...if you break em then you will really be kicking yourself...need some hondabond or high temp sillicon to put dabs of it here and there when you take off the valve cover...you can tell where you should put it by looking at the old gasket to see where is once was...b16a and b18c should be the same...not sure though
