Odometer rollback
How do you do it? Because I might be getting a new cluster for my EG DX and if the tach doesn't match then I would have to roll it back right? I know it seems like a fraud kind of question but please help me out. Thanks
PS- I would search but it says that archive searching is down at the moment. Thanks

ok to roll back the odometer you gotta pull out the the part of the cluster with the odometer in it and then on the back there will be a meckanisim that holds the numbers there will be a lever type deal there you should try that back and you should be able to move the numbers

Swap your original speedo into the new cluster. Take the cluster apart, clear cover and back panel come off. Then remove the screws holding the speedo and put your oe speedo in. Voila! Oe mileage still shows.
take the number thingy from your old cluster and put it in the new one. if you roll it backwards, there's a chance you could **** it up.
you can't plug a computer into a honda and get the millage. honda comps are read only thy don't have a prompt that they can write to.

I tried taking the cluster apart but I cant get the little reset nub to come off. Does anyone have a link to detailed directions for this... Ive seen it somewhere here before its just that the searching is down now. Does anyone have a link to it?
When I get my EX cluster back in the day I wanted to match the mileage so I did a roll back. I dont see how you guys **** your **** up. Its basicaly take two small *** flat heads, use one to lift the lock lever than the **** will start to move with a bit of force with the other screw driver. I am not going to get into it any more than that cause some peeps might use it for shady purposes. Carfax rules
its not an easy task if you have know idea what the hell your doining. you can really mess it up and get into some trouble if you get caught screwing with the odometer.
