today when i tried to fill my wind shell water,i noticed that my engine s shaking pretty bad,and the shift **** too, before it was quite placid,my car is a 98 ex coupe I/E/H has 60000 miles on it, i drove it for a while i didt fell anything bad,can anyone tell me something about it.thanks

yeah, when i pull outta first real slow and at low rpm, the car rattles like crazy until i get going. my shifter shakes too until i rev a little bit. wut up wit that?

 

you need to learn how to drive a stick. seriously. if the car is rattling and jerking, you are either giving it too little gas or too much clutch.

 

Or quite possibly one of your plugs is fowling and unfowls when you start getting up to speed. Try pulling your plugs and see if any are scorched.

 

it doesnt jerk or anything, it just makes a rattling noise. forget it

its just assorted things on your car that shake/rattle when the motor is at a lower rpm and is able to vibrate things more, as you bring the revs up(even just a few hundred rpm) im guessing it fades away. mine does the same thing.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Have it checked, you don't want that thing to break.

If you only have 60000 miles it probably isnt the motor mount, it should last longer than that. It is probably something else, possibly your driving or the way the car drives.

 

Yah.. he is ******* bogging.. when you bog the whole motor/dash/car shakes violently.. It results from not giving the car enough gas when you start, which in turn causes the engine to almost stall but not fully.. which = violent shaking.

edit: it has absolutely 100% nothing to do with a motor mount.

My dads old C5 (with grandchildren comes the minivan I guess) engine would shake pretty bad when he revved it up...

 

maybe his clutch is chattering?
motor mounts, but i really doubt it
motor mounts get messed after like 250k clicks on the engine...

 

Is the idle any lower than it used to be? Usually a ultra low idle will produce vibration.

 

You might want to check your clutch? It might be slipping or has oil on it.

 

check all the motor mounts...one or two could have gone bad...

Mine does the same thing and it IS the driver side lower motor mount... if you look at them there's nothing to them... replace it and get suspension tech. inserts.

I would bet money that it's torn... my car's been doing this since 100k mi. and it is the mount.. I just haven't gotten around to fixing it ( i have an insert in there and it still does it.)

but as far as living with it... you can indefinately just give a little more gas like everyone said.
