Nitrous gone bad
well, a few weeks ago, i had installed a 75 shot (dry) on my 2000 Civic Si, i figured it would hold alright, and i'd just hold the fuel off until i had the money to make that investment. so i wanted to test out my new set-up at the track. my first run i had a 2.37 60 ft and pulled off a 14.1 @ 99.2, so i knew i could do better if i just got that 2.25 60 ft i know i can get. so the next run was much more intense, right after i got traction, i flicked that switch and started spinning out of control, i then let off the gas and slowy poped it into 2nd, and boom, the track was then filled with every last drop of my engine coolant. so the next morning after a $125 towing bill back home, i took off the head hoping i blew a head gasket or something samll and stupid, but with my luck, i cracked the sleeve in cylinder 2 all the way down to the bottom. now, for all of you that are considering nitrous, just do it right and spend the extra money on the fuel!

Damn
one reason why I have yet to run naws!
With the bottle warner and all the necessary tools, it is about 1500 to make it run right
better off going turbo

that sucks man. but FYI my 91 civic with no mods exept a 55 shot zex (dry) nitrous kit on my 1.5 sohc dx motor with 132,000 miles is still strong and i use it alot (like the whole 10 pound bottle in 2-3 days) just driven around town! Its all good. I fried one auxilary injector before on the dpfi setup
I put 9 bottles of Zex nitrous though my 89' DX hatchback ( hybrid SI ), it has 155,000 miles on it. I ran eveything from a 55-75 shot on it... What the hell would crack the cylinder like that ? I figured a broken rod/piston from too much knock, but a cranked wall ?? BTW I had stock injectors and fuel pump... Take it B-series guys !! J/K, it saddens me to see it broke b/c I know its gone cost ton to fix.. A D-series guy would laugh all the way to the junk yard, and spend $200 on another one.. I can't imagine something like that happening to my "big money" stealth... Good pics though..
I think the term knock was invented for people like me that couldn't spell detination ( did I spell it right ? )..

sorry about that bro
thats why if u do somethiing u gotta do it right,.,
anyways something like that happened to my buddy
he has a B18A...
B block, ITR pistons and Oil pump, fuel pump and nice tunning..
and a 50 shot still make a hole in Cyl #2 the size of a golf ball.. and destroyed the block like urs and the head....
when it comes to NOS>. its not a easy game..fuel , heating and timing issues comes into hand.. and its not that easy...
hope u get that fixed soon and get it back on the rd..

did you have any fuel/spark/ignition mods? seems pretty wierd for that to happen with a 75 shot. my friend is running a 125 shot on his gsr engine, only mods he has on it are colder plugs, and retarded timing. with the nitrous and bolt-ons, on slicks he runs 12.7. he's been running this setup for a few months with no problems. i wonder why a 75 shot did that to your engine?? i'm confused
, anyway good luck with the repairs.
