Anything from forgetting to install the nitrous jet, to running a 75+ dry shot on a b16 with sohc injectors .
Thats real smart. D16 injectors are the same as the B16, both are 240cc.

Also my good guess is if the fuel mods weren't done for this motor neither were the ignition which would include 4 degrees of retard. If this was not done it would explain the high amount of heat and cylinder pressures along with a lean condition. BOOM. Use of nitrous isn't any more dangerous than a turbo. Both REQUIRE tuning.

bro its like this but theres a few things you must remember before you **** with anykind of nitrous, turbo etc. You have to figure out will your car be able to handle the **** dont listen to all the people who sell you the sht like yeah it can take a 75 shot they just tellin you that to buy it and make them money yo. on the real a stock mototr to be realistic and safe shouldnt do more than a 55 shot to be even safer a 40 shot. but you must have a high performance engine for a high performance part most of yall know what im talkin about around chrismas i blew my ****** motor it cost me 900 to fix and replace the head cause i fucked up cylinder valve section 1,3 and 4 the **** was no joke and i used a zex 65 shot on my accord . It had the zex spark plugs i changed the oil, fuel filter retarded the timing all that **** thinkin i was safe but i didnt change the timing belt. when i first tried it my car wit the 65 shot i was like oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiit it moved but there was that split second that i went lean and it was a rap for me all them valves was done i know cause i smelled some melted **** in the engine under the hood once i looked and saw it i was like what the **** and they told me i literally warped the head so it was no good had to buy another one 700 bucks but i got new valves. Now i said to myself man with that ****** omoney i should have just held off of the nitrous and opted for my swap im not tryin nitrous for a good minute after i get my swap.

yeah N2O can be a problem without the proper amounts of fuel. that's one reason why i like the wet/DP systems along with a 255 pump. i ran 100+ shot DP on my B18C, 12 bottles last year. i just took the head off of it yesterday and it looks good. no sleeve, piston or ring damage that i can see so far.

if you run out of fuel then predetonation can be severe enough to crack the sleeves, ruin rings or melt pistons etc. i've seen it before.

How were you hooking up on a 100+ shot?

damn that sucks man. I ran a 60shot on my si for about a year back in the days. I wasnt very pleased so i got rid of it and got turbo. So far, turbo has become money after money

btw, i ran 14.5@98mph w/ 2.6 '60ft with my 60shot i/h/e

well i'm not using N2O anymore, but when i did use it last year traction was an issue. i used 555R's on the street quite often for the w/e's. they're better than the regular street tires i had, which were Kumho 712's. if i injected in first it would lose traction instantly. if i injected in second it sometimes would lose traction instantly, but that depended on the bottle pressure. injecting in second wasn't too bad most of the time. that could have been cause my bottle pressure wasn't always up high enough so it ran a bit rich.

That's what I figured. I want to go to a 100 shot, but I'm sure I'll just burn up my khumos.

yeah i sold my NOS DP system to a guy in CA. he's running a 75 shot for now cause his motor is internally stock and he doesn't have the upgraded fuel system either. but he has traction issues too i believe. i don't know what tires he's using though. even a 75 shot can break the tires loose in 2nd gear.

Looks more like a lack of a block guard than detonation. best way to tell is to pull teh pistons and see if the ringlands are cracked.. If they are cracked.. detonation. If not, you should have run a block guard.

thats why they were invented.

at least thats my opinion on the matter.

hey why don't you go back to your turbo cars and leave the N2O to other people!

J/K
it's always good to hear from you Jason.

if those sleeves cracked from just being weak while running a 75 shot (without detonation) then i'll be surprised. i say this because i used a 100 shot DP system with 11:1 C/R last year, with stock sleeves and no blockgaurd, and the block looks fine. i just took it apart last w/e for the first time since last May. 12 bottles all together with a few occasions of lean conditions, but yet the sleeves are in perfect shape. so i'm thinking that there was severe detonation from a lean condition or incorrect ignition timing, even though it wasn't a crazy high injection.
