jus curious to who coined the name.

 

Once upon a time on a message board long ago, there were several who would post in the kills stories. Some people would call these guys "the turbo mafia". It was vtec4gs aka CHEETAH, boost Junkie, Markc, havok, and ghost.

This was way before there was even a FI board and HT didnt even excist. wow, that was a long time ago.

boost junkie has a little boy and has a wonderful family. I talk to him every so offten, but mark talks to him alot. I used to bother the **** out of you Greg back in the day. Im sorry, but I had to learn from somebody.

Damn....Ken Woods is a name I haven't heard in a long time....back before Adrian Teo and Frank Lin and the original Honda Hybrid site.

Boostjunkie has a 1gen AWD talon with aan EVO III motor. He has a kid and a house and he's being a grown up these days. He is waiting to see what all these new turbo charged cars will be like when they come out.

I still speak with and go see him every once and a while.

What was my name back then.....oh yeah aun@tural ITR. That was when I thought that N/A was the way to go...boy. I remember Havoc. Man seems like eons ago. I guess I'm old school too. I even used to post on Vtec.net's message board before it went down for an entire year.

What was that like 3-4 years ago.

 

havok was tony and he had a drag3 gsr...sold the car after getting rebuilt since he was still getting frustrated from things going wrong. He still posted on the member's forum, but i haven't been around regularly in the last year. Since he's in the same town as me, I still talk to him every once in a while...

Ghost I believe had a 4 door gsr rev hard kit. Don't really know much of him since he got out really early

I remember Mark getting one of the first drag3 kits if not the first and after talking with him and Havok, I had to turbo my "lowly" LS...Seems so back in the day

Allthough I am not a rookie to hondas, I wish I would have found this site a long time ago when all I would do is call a shop and ask a ??? They would just say bring it in we will look at it.

 

I kinda view some of the people that have been on this site for a while (ANd before the split) as family. I've spoken to some of these guys for years. Hell I probably never would've met Clifton (BoostJunkie) and we live in the same city.

That's why I'll probably still hang out here even if I never own another Honda.

And that's also why we probably have the rep of being mean or rude. We are kinda family here and you jump on one (esp an older member) you get jumped on.
