Battle of Widebands? FJO or Techedge?
I have been researching and i cannot find out which wideband is better. I currently have Hondata in a Greddy Si Turbo kit. I want to get a wideband for tuning and just to see what my A/F Ratio is while driving.
On hondata's website they use the FJO for wideband tuning. But i remember a while back people were having issues hooking up the Techedge to the Hondata for the logging purposes. I might be switching over to AEM for the auto-tuning, but right now, i am sticking with what i have. Does the FJO have any better features than the Techedge? I dont think so. The only difference is the cost, correct?
Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine has Hondata with the Techedge, although it does not communicate with the ecu.
Another friend of mine has a Hondata with the FJO that is able to communicate with the ecu.
The main purpose of purchasing the FJO is to have the ability to connect it with the Hondata. Both units work fine, I have seen them. It all comes down to what you want? I do believe Techedge is comeing out with some software that will allow the ecu to log while the AFR, but it's not compatable with the Hondata or AEM.
Also you will not be able to Autotune with the Techedge!!!! So it comes down to what you want!

whats the issue with connecting the techedge to hondata?
it cant be that bloody difficult. i wonder if its a voltage skew issue, and hondata is configured only to work with the FJO output?
the new techedge v1.5 might address this sort of issue. i know the v1.0 has nonlinear output vs a/f....

If I had cash to burn I would get FJO, like David!
I will be buying a Techedge. I have been trying to figure out how EXACTLY to hook it to my Hondata, and I think I have. You have to run a wire from the display connector (from Turismo and racerxadam, http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/info5301.htm) to the factory O2 signal pin.
You should be able to make the 1.5 work as your stock O2 by running another wire from the Data Acquisition port (pin 3, orange http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/1v5/const.htm) to your stock O2 signal pin.
Then to run open or closed loop you just need to switch wires. Kinda sucks but affordable.

I just remember from a long time ago, that when people put in the values for the Lamba, it would always forgot the values or the values or always off. I remember Dustin having these problems.

Is this what comes with the v1.5 kit?Is this all thats needed? It said the cable to sensor and sensor itself not shown, but it is included correct?
Image above shows from left - Data Access cable, version 1.5 TE-WB unit and the TE-5301 display. Not shown is the cable to the sensor, and the sensor itself.
Should i just get the just this:
V 1.5 Package Deal 4.0 - TE-WB Unit with 4.0 m (~13') sensor cable and data acquisition cable & TE-5301 display (saving of $20).U.S. $330
Then all i have to do is get the actual sensor correct?

Why anyone would get the FJO over the Techedge is beyound me..... would you rather spend $291 and then say $130 for a total of $421 for a complete wideband setup? Or would you rather pay $700+.....
Since its understood BOTH work with hondata..... I don't see the arguement here at all anymore
Tech-edge all the way, I love it.
