It goes on the drain plug on the tranny. The drain plug on the tranny is round with a square hole. It should be located lower right to the fill plug that you have found.

just stick your 3/8" driver in there (without a socket).

ok cool, thas what i thought... but now the 2nd question... while doing this i lost some fluid. When i open the bolt in the yellow circle, it still drips out some fluid... is this adequate? the manual says it should be on the lower level of that hole

When you go to unbolt the drain plug...all of the fluid will come rushing out. My suggestion is to replace with new fluid. Make sure your car is leveled and pour fluid into the tranny (fill hole) until it is at the fill hole height (it will start leaking out...wait till it stops leaking and put the fill plug back on).

Good luck!

Personally, I wouldn't have changed the plugs without changing the fluids.

If your car is leveled and it is pouring out of the fill plug then that is enough.

-Tommy who changes his tranny fluid 3-4 times per year.

Don't be lazy.

Change your oil and trans fluid.

Dude, raise your car so that it is level all the way around. Spend $10 and change your fluid. Don't do things half azzed

$35 or so on drain plugs and you can't fork over a bit more for fluids?
