Default GSR Lower control arms on a 92 Civic Hatchback

The GSR lower controls allow you to have a stock Honda anti-sway, and seem to be of a more sturdy design.

Thanks to Don (aka mrlegoman) from www.reddotmotorsports.com for the pieces for this upgrade. Contact him for other parts.

are you going to be upgrading to the factory sway bar/factory arm from the suspension techniques set up? tell us how it works out.

im running the susp tech set up on my car also.

it seems to me that where the ST bars attach (shocks) would have more leverage/control over the arms then in the middle of the arm. if u look at the pic maybe you can see what i mean.

EDIT: also.. with the ST set up, did you have to cut your brackets to allow the installation of the lower tie bar?

I see what you are saying, but I don't think that the mounting point matters much in the end. Since the swaybar is really just transferring some force from one arm to another, and it is connected at the same point on both arms, leverage doesn't really come into play here.

However I don't think that I like the idea of using the shock mounting hole for the sway bar. You are gonna end up with 2 opposing forces on the same bolt/hole.

I MIGHT someday do that upgrade. I HATE throwing away parts, though, so unless the ST bar breaks, I doubt I'm going to be upgrading any time soon.

Yes, but it also means the arm has more leverage on it as well (there is more movement in the arm at each end when the suspension compresses/relaxes). This means for more wear and tear on the bar and bushings. It may mean a more effective bar, but it might not (I can't tell for sure, I've seen/driven both, and I cannot really tell).

Yes. You can see the cuts/grinds in the brackets.
