what dose it mean when my Maint. Req. light is flashing when i start my car? i've just done my oil change a few weeks ago and have everything checked by a mechanic.......i heard that this light acts like a timer flashs at a certain mileage to remind u to do a maintnance and there is a switch which i can press to reset the timer but i've looked every where and i couldnt find it...

 

underneath the steering wheel column on the right hand side is a "maintenance light reset button" just at the edge of the plastic fascia (around where your right knee would be).

press it and the light will go away

 

It means the dealer is ready to take more of your money
Follow the underside of your steering column, the button is about halfway down

 

Don't worry about it and do what they say.

 

Small precision on BigPhatR' s directions, the car must be park, with the ignition ON (position II) and the green reset button must be press for three seconds

Yoshi, did you scan that from the Helms manual

 

dose the Canadian Rs have it at a different location? cuz i just cant find it under the center console.....there is no switch (just flat surface) where Yoshi labeled the switch should be at......

 

it's behind that flat panel
