My car just rolled over to 75,000 and now everytime I start the car, the little "Maint.Req." light blinks for about five seconds and then shuts off. I was wondering what this is and if I need to have it checked out or if there is just a little reset switch somewhere I can push.

 

It will go off at predetermined mileage points. If you get regular maintenance done then this light is just an added reminder. To turn it off, or reset it reach down under the steering wheel on the right hand side of the dash and there is a reset button located there.

 

all u have to do is find the reset button under the steering column (in that area) hold it in for around 10 seconds and the light goes out....and every time it comes on just do the same thing

 

yep, just start the car on position I or II, and hold it there until it shuts, that should reset it. But after all, if you haven't done any tune ups, you should pay attention to that light...

 

if you get underneath the steering column, the button is blue.....all your problems will be solved!

 

or you can just feel around for it..

Thanks for the info.....I'm planning on having the timing belt and the waterpump replaced pretty soon as preventitive maintenence.

 

I thought it was round.
