Default Upgraded swaybar and bushings on GSR...

I've had an ITR swaybar w/Beaks kit in the garage for a few months now. Finally installed it this weekend. Wow! Big difference in handling. Combined with the ITR springs I installed last week, the car feels solid and much more stable. I won't post pics of the install as there are already tons of ITR rearsway pics out there.

Before installing the ITR rear bar, I replaced the front swaybar bushings with Energy Suspension pieces. A big to Bruce @Suspension.com. I placed an order wednesday evening, received bushings friday afternoon!

If you've done the ITR rear sway bar already and haven't done the front swaybar bushings, I highly recommend it.
The ES front sway bar bushings are cheap and really easy to install.
Here is a look at old, worn stock rubber front swaybar bushings.

Since the GSR kit comes with extra hardware

and double the amount of endlinks needed, I'll send these out to a HT'er who wants them for the cost of shipping.

You'll still need to buy ES #16-5104, but they are only $6bucks.

FYI, although it's been said a thousand times already. If you haven't installed an ITR rear sway bar, do it now!

Hi...I agree, the rear swaybar upgrade is a definite "Must-have" for anybody who likes to drive "spirited"!
I am interested in the bushings you're giving away. What exactly are you giving away? Are they the ES bushings you're showing in the pic? (ES 16.8104G) I take it those are the front endlinks?? I'll take them if they are ES parts for a 94-99 GSR.
How much is the shipping to Louisville, KY 40245?
Thanks

The ES part no. 16.8104G contains all the pieces in my second (middle)pic above, but only 4 (or 1/2) of the bushings/collars are needed on a GSR. I'm giving away the other 4 bushings as I don't need them and a fellow HT'er could use them. The bolts and screws are not needed as the stock pieces are retained. This part is $11 from Suspension.com

Like I said in the original post, you'll need to purchase ES part no. 16.5014 to complete the front swaybar bushing, but those are cheap. Shipping is from 91744, should be cheap, since these don't weigh much.
Email me at [email]/email] if you want the bushings.

Picking up my ITR sway bar and bushing today!!! But I think I'm going to wait until spring to put it on. Right now I'm back to my stock 14' rims and snow tires so if I put on the ITR I wont be able to drive it like I would want to and maybe wouldn't appreciate the difference.

What's a fair price for the swaybar?

For an ITR rear sway bar with all of the hardware (endlinks, bushings and D-brackets) you shouldn't have to pay more than $90-100 shipped. For GSR applications, you'll need an subframe reinforcement kit. I recommend BSQ's kit (he's on this board if you have any questions) www.geocities.com/bretq

The front sway bar bushings are easy to install. I would say, they can be done in about 30 minutes or so as you don't have to remove the sway bar, just do one side at a time. I did them by first removing the endlink (you'll need a 5mm hex and 14mm wrench). Replace bushings and reinstall but do not thread them in all the way. Then replace the frame bushings and reinstall (lube them up with the supplied poly lube). Thread in half way. You'll need a long screw driver, or wrench to pry the swaybar against the lower arm to get the endlinks back in. Torque everything down to spec and you're done. Good mod for less than $20 bucks.

When I installed ES front swaybar bushings after having driven with the ITR rear swaybar for two months, I felt the bushings noticeably negated the effect of the rear swaybar. On the other hand, the leaning I've still been experiencing in sharp low-speed turns were eliminated with the stiffer bushings. They're nice in daily driving, but when pushing it through the twisties, you'll plow. The result is still better than stock, but I'm personally removing them in favor of brand-new OEM bushings (my old bushings were a little torn).

Im gonna bring this one back from the dead.

My front endlink bushings were also smashed real bad. So i ordered poly ones
Does doing this really recreate understeer? i havent put em in yet... could i just put poly ones in the rear too to get it back to neutral (neutral from the ITR swaybar)?
