im doing a j-spec b16a sirII into my 94 eg. for some reason, the axles from the b16a wont fit into the shaft. for some reason, both of the axles are sticking out too far, so i cant bend the left one into the hole in the shaft, and on the right, im able to put it in the rotor, but i cant put the shaft back on so it'll be straight. i need help.....
the axles doesnt want to fit in the shaft as you can see in the pix above. anyone know why??? I've removed the dust seal and spacer on the hubs, but the right still wont stand up right and the left one still wont go in. i got these from HMO, so i dont know what im doing wrong!!

I would guess you have the wrong axles...I just did that swap a few weeks ago and ther eis nothing special that you have to do...you dont have to remove the dust shields or anything like that...they should just go in as is with no mods...try and check to make sure those axles are the correct ones you need??..who did you get them from?

well, they fit right into the tranny, so im pretty sure they are correct. and i know that steve at HMO wont be ripping me off, (he's a good guy), stupid axles just wont go in!!!!!!!!![
Hmmmm...lets see if they were the right axles they would go in right?
...just because the inner shaft fits doesnt mean they are the correct ones..they could still be too long..I wasnt saying anyone was ripping you off I just said to check to make sure they are the right axles...retailers make mistakes sometimes...he could of sent you the wrong axles....why dont you go down to your local parts shop and measure a set so you can compare the lengths

I thought I had that problem too. But I found out that in the process of putting them it, the axle pulled itself apart inside the boot. So I took the axles back out again, and gave it a couple light taps, and the 3 bearing inside the boot went back into place. Then it fit no problem. Make sure the axles are all the way in at the tranny too, somtimes you have to presuade them in the rest of the way. I also had to grind around the very end of the axles, to round it out. My axles would fit into the rotor becasue the treads were a little mushroomed at the edge, so I grinded a little off the edge. Then it fit perfect. (to make more sence, make sure the lock nut nuts on the end of the axles before putting it in, to make sure the treads are good, and round)
