Why does my #$@! BRAKE light stay on??
This morning i wake up and start the car up to go fill it up with some gas...
Put the key in the ignition, clutch to the floor, pull out of gear, put down the e-brake, and go to pull out of the driveway when i realize the word BRAKE is still lit up in bright Red on the dash...
so I mess around with the e-brake, pulling it up, and putting it down over and over, which makes no difference...
I pump the brake pedal, then pop the hood and check the brake fluid and find out that it is in good condition, right up to the MAX line.
Pulling down the block, tested out the brakes, and they work just fine, but when the car warmed after about 5 minutes of driving the BRAKE light went out.
I drove the car a couple of times today, and the same thing happens every time.
WTF is going on? Did some sensor go bad on me or something? I'm clueless... just looking for some insight...

I have the same problem. I am running an OBD1 P28 ECU chipped to a P30, and I eventually just gave up. Doesn't seem like it does any harm, so oh well...
I have the same problem too. Except the problem is that by the time you take it to the dealer the light goes off so they can't diagnose it. Let me know if you take it to the dealer.
This just happened to me last week and it is a known problem according to my mechaninc. The Brake resevoir cap that has the sensor on it goes bad. He got a new one out and replaced in 5 mins. No more brake light.
You can do one of 2 things. Unplug the cap, or replace it. If enough people start to complain about it, they might do a recall on them.
I unplugged mine for about 3-4 months. I just bought a new cap and the light has been off ever since. It was about $25-30.
G'luck

According to my dealer there is a defect in some of the Tegs brake light sensor system. If you have checked your brake fluids, made sure no brake lights are out, etc... then take it to the dealer.
happened to me too!! all i did was add break fluid and PRESTO! Never more..but it happens to MOST acura's my sisters 4 dr, friends legend did it so i'm guessing its common.
mine started doing this yesterday morning.. only seems to be happening in the morning for some reason..
yesterday it did the stay on until about 1/2 way to work and then off the rest of the day(when it's supposed to be off).. today however, it kept coming on and going off until about 1/2 way to work and then decided it wanted to stay off..
didn't get to check the fluid, since I was running late, but i just filled it a couple weeks ago.. should be ok.. if it is, i assume this is a problem with the resivoir cap like the others?
