Default T-Belt off one tooth?????

Could I get 2 little drill bits steaked into the cams and cam caps to center them *UP* when putting my T-belt on but still be off by one tooth???? When my cam gears are centered up they are still a bit off, pointing inwards towards eachother but I could still get drill bits into the holes. My car runs a bit funny at idle.

Yes, you have to make sure the is no clearance within the holes.. the drill bit should be tight when you stick them in there and no play when you try to move the cam manually... it may appear to be snug, but you won't know until you try to spin the cam(s)

Spin the motor manually 2 revolutions counterclockwise after belt install and make sure your timing marks are still lined up..

i used two 3/16" roll pin punches avaliable at sears. There has to be no clearance or slop in the fitment of the pinpunches and the cam caps/cams. BTW my arrows didnt point exactly at each other when i did this.
