Think I'm screwed.. Rays Lug Nuts
OK, I seem to have "misplaced" the key to the (Rays/Volk) special seven-sided lug nuts. Does anyone know if the keys are all the same and where I can get another one without purchasing anther entire set???
Currently screwed and patiently awaiting helpful answers.
And this is something to think about when you are planning to purchase a set of lug nuts to go with your fancy new wheels. Do you want added safety or the assurance of easy removal!!!!

are u referring to the kyokugen nuts?
get rid of those p.o.s.'s! took me 6 hrs to remove those nuts earlier today while switching out the springs to kgmm (will post pic soon). every single lug was stripping. unbelievable. ended up having to buy a couple 15mm 12 sided sockets and hammered them in there to get the ones that were lost causes already..
fortunately, after a talk with mackin industry with one of the reps, he was able to hook me up with a new key that was redesigned (thankfully). this one worked a lot better, but was still borderlining as far as grip was concern.
my suggestion as with many others who i've known with the same lugs is to take them off and throw them away. They are a pain in the *** even if u properly tq it and not use impact wrenches.
but to answer your question, your best bet would be to get it thru a local shop. Mackin industry *supposingly* does not deal directly with endusers.

yes, they are all the same
In case someone else finds this with a seahc, this is wrong. There are at least 5 different keys according to Mackin Industries. ALso I ahve tried a key that did not fit. They are numbered. I have key # 27 and my freind had key # 37.
True, they are not all the same. I happened to have the proper Rays key for his lugnuts, so he just used mine to remove them. Very fortunate!
I have owned two sets of Rays lugnuts and there are different keys as already said. This may sound strange but I think Craftsman sells a socket the consists of many small rods inside of it. When you put it on a stripped bolt or even just a regular bolt it adapts to the size desired. It is not a perminamt solution just something to have in case of a flat. I am sorry that I dont know what it is called but it does work and could get you out of a jamb if need be. Hope this helps.
After reading through this thread because I want(ed) to purchase a set, does anyone sell black locking semi-lightweight non-open-ended lug nuts with 2 keys ?
Or can you buy another either at the same time, or later from Mackin (or a dealer) ? We should learn from you guys now, rather than posting later that it happened to us.
