The program you want to run depends on a few things but choice of camshaft plays a big part in choosing an ECU program.

The majority of the cams (e.g. ITR/CTR, Toda specA, Skunk2 stage 1) like a 5300 VTEC. However, the "big" cams like a higher VTEC switchover.

I can do custom revlimits and VTEC crossover points for P28s.

Louis (OCD) aka HybridKOOP went 12.80s on one of my ECUs in his old '93 Civic coupe with a LS/VTEC setup that I built for him.

MPH is making over 195 Hp with one of my ECUs and is running mid to low 13's in his ITR.

I went 13.7 @ 102 with one of my P28 ECUs on street tires in my '98 ITR. These numbers aren't extraordinarily fast in the over all scheme of things but they aren't too shabby either.

Email me for more info. I have some P28s in stock and ready to ship right now.

I made 196@wheels with one of kenji's ecus with stock cams. Not sure if its the same program that he still uses in his P28s though..

What are your mods? Awesome numbers for stock cams.

Hey kenji, would I gain any horsepower on my 01 ITR if I switched to your Ecu? Would it be worth switching to a chipped P28 if all I had was AEM CAI, DC JDM 4-1 header, Carsound cat, Apexi N1 exhaust and toda cam sprockets? And how much do you want for a chipped P28 Ecu?

Willis,

It is the exact same program that I am running now. This is the same program that I sell with a good majority of my P28s.

PYITR821,

You will realize substantial gains in the midrange as well as up top and down low when using my P28 ECU with your setup. A fuel controller (e.g. Field or VAFC) will only add to the gains realized with my ECU. My ECU responds very well to cars with I/H/E.

The cost is $225 shipped and chipped. No core charge. I guarantee all of my work against defects and offer a trade policy if you get a new car or want a different program.

Here is a dyno graph of what my P28 ECU alone did to my '98 ITR. The only difference between the two runs is the ECU (vs. USDM ITR ECU). My mods at the time were:

Iceman CAI
JDM ITR 4-to-1
test pipe
5Zigen Border304 exhaust
64mm TB
cam gears
one of my OBD2 to OBD1 harnesses
one of my P28 ECUs
Mugen head gasket
stock block/stock head

If anybody is interested in an ECU or OBD2 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness please email me at kenji211@tampabay.rr.com

MPH let me test out his Kenji-spec P28 ECU on my car with just I/H/E. At first, I couldn't really tell that much of a difference. But here's the kicker, when I plugged the stock ECU back on, I definitely felt the sluggishness of the stock ECU compared to Kenji's ECU. There's been plenty of happy customers and dynographs to prove the effectiveness of his ECU.

Right on CPR. Kenji's ECU is very good for stock or mild cams with bolt ons. you can really feel the difference going back and forth between the two ecus. I should know. I own one. I'll have a dyno of in two weeks. I'll compare usdm ecu vs p28 and mixed in with open header vs stock exhaust runs.
