The Maintenance Required Light has come on again in my 00 GSR (comes on every 7k - or every other oil change - according to the dealer as a reminder to have them check it out). Anyone know how to turn this thing off??? The guy at the service counter at the local Honda dealership was telling me there's a sequence where you push in the trip odometer reset button and hold for 10-15 seconds while starting the car. Is there a trick to it - as this didn't work for me? I've already changed the oil myself and I'd like to turn off the idiot light. Thanks!

 

to the right of your steering wheel, just left of the center instrumenst under the dash there is a button, you can reach around for it or just look under your dash in that area. press and hold it until your light shuts off.

 

The button is blue by the way
