Default EM2 K20 Dyno Numbers

I finally went to get my setup tuned. After a fair amount of time talking with different tuners in my area, I decided to go to RS Motors, in Burnsville, Minnesota. I showed up an hour early (by accident) and they said, lets get started! After five hours, start to finish, which included working out two bugs (TPS and a phone call to HONDATA for a full throttle problem) everything was finished. I would recommend them to anyone in the area! Everyone there was by far the nicest guys I've ever met!

Engine setup:

K20A2 Block:
Darton Mid-Deck Sleeves
Eagle rods
CP Pistons (88mm & 11.5 CR)
K20A Crank
OEM Honda Bearings
Hytech oil pan baffle
TODA tensioner
OEM oil pump

K20A Head:
OEM valves
Brian Crower valve springs
Brian Crower retainers
OEM locks
Brian Crower Stage 2 camshafts
Cometic 88mm Head Gasket

Transmission:
DC5-R, with 4.7
Exedy cerametallic Clutch
Exedy lightened flywheel

Bolt ons:
Hayward 52mm ITB's
Marren 440cc Injectors
TODA Racing race header
3 inch exhaust
K-Pro

Hopefully in the near future, I can upgrade to Brian Crower Stage 3's as well as do some head work, and see if there is more power to be had. On the dyno, above 8500 rpms, power would just die off, quickly. Hopefully with the new cams, and some head work, this will no longer be an issue. Overall, I'm very happy thus far.

I won't be around for a while, as I'm getting married this weekend. Feel free to post as much as you want in this thread, and I'll respond when we get back from the honeymoon!

The numbers look a little low, but its probably the dyno considering its a Mustang dyno. Keep us posted on the track times that will be the true indication of the power your making.
How much do EM2's weigh?

I have a new engine coming in... almost the same setup as yours... (89mm bore)

I thinking should have 250+whp.... but how come only 221whp??

Mustang dynos typically indicate lower than dyno jets.

Nice numbers!! Try lowering that VTEC crossover, looks like you can get rid of that dip @ 5700.

Not sure what the thread starter has done in the way of weight reduction, but the EX model weighs in around 2550 lbs.

Ummm their lighter then I thought. I figured they were around 2700-2800lbs with safety reasons. This thing should rip then at that weight.

We did play around with this for awhile, but didn't see it disappearing, but rather getting worse. We decided to leave it where it is currently.

Unfortunately, I have not done anything to reduce the weight of the vehicle.

Here are some pictures from a friend who attended the session with me.

your curve looks a bit peaky, did they turn the cam angles one by one and over lay them?

Yes, as mentioned in the first post, it took five hours to do so. I guess I did forget to mention in the original post, that 50 degree VTC and above 8400 rpms, power fell off, very quickly.

I just went for a ride in this thing tonight and its pretty insane. Definately feels like it pulls harder then my buddies vortec supercharged B16 CRX.

Keep up the good work man, cant wait to see what comes next!
