Write up: Front disc and brake pads replacement. 56K not friendly.
I decided to replace my old and worn out oem front brake discs and brake pads with brembo oem spec 9.5" cross drill and slot rotors and some nice brake pads. i was too lazy to do the brake job and i have these new parts laying in my garage for months. finally i got some motivation and do it, it took me an hour to complete L&R brake job with hand tools.
oem spec brembo front brake discs

here are the tools that i used

remove the bolt that i circled in red in order to remove the whole brake caliper and caliper bracket, dont remove the brake line.

it is really pain in the *** to remove 2 screws that hold the rotors to the knuckle.finally took out the rotor and clean everything

here is the side by side discs and pads comparison.

look how bad the old pad is? all worn out.

once installed new disc in place, i installed caliper and bracket back on and tightened 2 bolts to 80 LBS and then removed the caliper bolt that i circled in blue, to just slide caliper over.

and placed the new pads. i reuse the brake pads retainers cause they are still good.
i use a C clam and a worn brake pad to push brake piston all the way in, so caliper will slide back on the new pads. sadly i know, one piston brake caliper
.

ok reinsall the caliper bolt and tighten it to 23 LBS

put the wheel back on and tightened wheel nuts to 80 LBS. personally i like 15" rims, it wont make your oem brake discs look too small.
i went for a test drive.everything goes well.
brake is much better than before

and i plan to do the stainless brake line in a week and i will post the write up then.
i have these brake lines for months too. i am too lazy
Russel stainless brake line is made by edlebrock, so no doubt in its quality.
to do the brake line job. i would like to go to my friend's work shop, cause he has hydro car lift.

good write up dood!
you forgot to mention that it's wise to check the slider pins to see if they need some anti-seize lovin' or not while it's all out.
also, there's a tool for the screws that hold the rotors down. i don't know what it's called but you can use it to loosen or tighten them...you just hammer the back of it and it turns the philips.
thumbs up on the write up with pics!

good stuff! just did this a week or so ago on my car.
just want to add that if you don't have a c-clamp to push in the piston you can lift the reservoir cap (or disconnect the brake like form the caliper) and push it in by hand.
just be sure to bleed the brake lines if you do this or you won't last long enough to enjoy the new setup

you do know that brembo doesn't make a drilled and slotted rotor right? Brembo only makes a drilled or slotted rotor not a drilled and slotted. Those rotors are probably brembo slotted rotors that have been drilled by some third party. It sucks that if you have any problems brembo will treat you as they are not their rotors.
