2000 SI cluster in 98 EX RPM and MPH wont work!! (HELP)
so here is the problem.
I have a 98 ex with a B16 off a 2001 SI (motor runs fine)
But when I tred switchin to the SI cluster the RPM and the MPH wont work...
Can anyone help me with this?
I though they were supposed to be direct swap?
If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

they are plug and play.. does everything else work on the gauge cluster? and did your previous cluster work fine?

yes everything works fine on the other one.. And im sure its not the cluster because I put it in my buddy'z SI and it work'd fine...
I changed the wire harness that goes behind the dash and into the ECU (trying to make an SI replica)
Is there a way I can run a wire from were ever it gets its signal to the cluster?

so your previous cluster works with your new harness, while the new cluster does not? or do you not have another cluster to test?

I dont have another cluster to test this harness with... But before I pulled it out of the car both the cluster and the harness along with ECU and Engine worked fine...
Its now that I put it in my EK that they dont want to work..
I got the complete swap from an SI that was rear ended so I just pulled the whole front end off

ok, first thing i would do.. is just double check all your connections. make sure you plugged everything in properlly and check the harness for damage to the wires.
and does everything else on the cluster work? and how about the rest of your car? climate control panel, car runs?

All clips are on (tripple checked)
Temp works fine
Gas works fine
All the climate controls are working fine...
Its just the RPM and the MPH....
I looked up wire schematics and all my wires behind the cluster are to were they need to be... I ran a wire to my dizzy from the cluster so now my RPM's are working... Just not my MPH

I do have one. But its because of my O2 sensor...
Im using a P2T..... Would this make a difference?

i dont think it could be your ECU.. most likely its the VSS sensor though. do you have one from your d-series still? you can use that on the B-series, you just have to swap some parts out.

but i really have no idea what else it could be besides that, or faulty wiring.
