Will a D16Y7 / Y8 Oil pan work for a D16Z6?

I think you have to use the Y oil pick-up though...could be wrong.

Y8 oil pan on Z6 block with z6 oil pump / strainer.

y8 is deeper then the z6

Beacause the y8 holds more oil. not much .3 of a qt more. so you'll have to use 3.8 instead of 3.5...

i would also like to know as well.... so can you use the z6 oil pickup with a y7/y8 oilpan. other then the oilpan holding more is that the only difference

in my exprience a y7 pan will not fit a z6 block. the studs on the oil pump are in different locations. y8 pan i dont know.
