difference between d16z6 oil pan and d16y7 oil pan?

difference between d16z6 oil pan and d16y7 oil pan?
anyone know what exactly is different between d16z6 oil pan and d16y7 oil pans? is it something on the inside? pickup placement? will a y7 pan work fine on my z6 engine?

Z6 oil pan will not work on the Y7. 1st hand experience. I don't know about the pick up question.

I can tell ya right now that the crank offset is pretty close, so I doubt that's the reason. So if he couldn't get it to fit I'm guessing it's a bolt pattern deal.
