Default Converting an ECU from Auto to Manuel

I done some reading in the FAQ's section and read about converting ECU's from auto to manuel. The ECU that's in my car ('93 Civic hatch with B18a1 swap, auto to manuel swap)is a P75. It is the auto version(A51). Does anyone know the details on doing the conversion to this ECU?
If not, what would be the best ECU to replace it with?

THANKS!

Well, this way would be free... I've read about doing the conversion, but not on my specific ECU, P75. I don't know if the boards are the same with one's that were described. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

If there isn't a way to do the conversion on mine, I would like to know what the best replacement would be. For best performance & gas mileage.

i got a chipped p28 for my vtec swap last yaer off ebay for like 250 and it came with like 5 pre mapped chips. this is an easy way to go about solving your issue because a regular ecu was between 100-200. just check ebay for your ecu. the cost is worth the saved headache of solidering.

Yeah, only if you don't fuck it up -- that is -- switching it over.

It involves adding/removing a jumper wire @ points RP17&RP18 on the board itself.

Contact Mtber here on h-t he is local to you and I and does ecu's all day long.

if you can solder, remove RP17 & RP18, jumper across RP18. (unless it's a JDM ECU)

If you can't solder then hit up mtber to do it. (local is always good) Should take a few minutes tops.

When you say jumper rp18, do you mean just solder a wire where the resistor was on rp18 and just leave rp17 without a resistor?

yes, rp18 just needs to be "jumped" , and rp 17 simply cut. You will want to socket the ecu and chip to run a manual program though.

I just want this damn car to run & get me good gas mileage for work!

no need to chip the ECU, it will run fine on the stock maps, not quite identical to a manual ECU, but close enough.
