Default my DIY catch can for Bseries. non turbo

will this setup work?

my goal is to keep the intake manifold as clean as possible. I don't have turbo. I used to have a DIY catch can, but it did not have a return line so i have to periodically empty it. also, it was never hooked up to the valve cover.

I wouldn't run the breather from the block directly to the drain, I would run it from the block to the catch can. I also wouldn't run a vac line on the catch can I would just use an open filter.

can you please explain why not to run breather from block to drain? and also why use an open filter than a vac line? from my understanding, everything goes back to the crank anyways so i don't understand why block to drain is not a good idea. thank you.

don't run hose from value cover to can, that needs fresh air (not intake manifold).
When your in WOT vacuum will be near 0 inches, your not going to get good breathing there, run it to intake hose (aircleaner-throttle body) or just add small filter on it if you have no MAF sensor.

I wasn't saying you shouldn't drain the can back to the crank, just that you should vent both lines to the can then have it drain back to the crackcase.

what's wrong with a little critical thinking and analyzation? My motor is out of the car, I was able to clean and port my intake manifold. so I want to garantee the runners as clean as I can. is that a problem?

haha. sorry guys. basically... i want the breather and the block PCV to go to the catch can through one openning. then relieve the pressure from the catch can to the intake manifold. and have a drain back to the OEM PCV blackbox.
