Default Catch Can Confusion

I've read the many threads on here that there are about catch can set-ups. Still a little confused on how to run my set-up.

I have a greddy style catch can with 2 fittings on the top of it. So will I be okay if I remove the entire pcv, block off the hole in the block where the black box use to be and then block off the fitting on the intake manifold where the pcv line use to run. Then run 2 -10AN fittings from the front of the valve cover to the catch can?

Is this correct. This is just a mild build nothing serious. Not looking for longevity or the best set up. I just need something to last me the summer.

Thanks.

if you are using the 2 ports on the can and run the vc vents to those 2 you have no where for the pressure to go.

you will have to add a breather.

So if I put a fitting in the catchcan with a filter, then this set up should do the trick?

Yep, add a breather with filter to the catch can and that set-up will work.

Awesome. Thanks! And as far as the lines go. I can just use brass fittings with rubber lines?

Honestly, anything works. The fancy an fittings and steel braided lines aren't necessary, but look much nicer than brass fittings and rubber hose.

Use whatever you can afford.
