Default Accord Rear Lip

This is a question for the people that have the accord rear lip. Did you guys use the prelude or accord rear mudflaps? The accord ones seem like they have a slit for the lip, where the prelude ones don't. Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks

You cannot use unmodified prelude rear mud flaps with an accord lip. AFAIK you can make accord 'flaps work.

If you're talking about 4th gen w/ accord rear lip, then yes, I'm using the prelude rear flaps w/ the lip. They can work, just require some trimming (you'll see when you try to install them). However I'm looking into some 94 accord rear flaps (got a hunch they'll fit better). The prelude ones sit lower (because of the lip obviously). Hope that helps some. Also for mounting, you'll have to get creative since the holes will now need to be 1" lower than originally (guestimated).

I'm going to do this mod real soon. AmauryR, what do you mean the holes sit about 1" lower? The holes on the lip or the mudflaps?

I opted to get CB7 mudflaps. They work as well.

Reason I wanted them over prelude is because they say "HONDA" on the back of them.

gay, i know, but I like them, and prelude ones are hard to find.

Yeah, I got so lucky when I went to the junkyard and they were just pulling in a Prelude. The car was parted out so fast...

I used my prelude ones, had to make new holes to mount the mudflap since it physically sits lower (because of the lip). Not too hard, and looks nice (I'm still going to find some accord onces since they should fill the contour better than the prelude ones).
