Quick hondata prob
I Have a 2000si with the obd2 to obd1 harness. if there was a wire crosed on the harness is there any chance that it could cause the check engine light to come on? See Im still getting the solid red hondata light but i also have a solid check engine light and i cant pull any codes. I know the ecu is good so were thinking the rom is bad. but im just wondering if the wiring harness could cause this to. thanks guys
The ecu wont give a check engine code and the car does start, it just runs bad. i would like to say the ecu is in "limp home mode" but the car revs past 4000rpm it just back fires abit and runs super rich.
i tried to unplug the hondatabox and turn the car on and it does the same thing. check engine light is solid and the car runs shitty. hum. this is no fun. i hope the new chip will fix this
man sonny i wish i had data logging. who a scan tool pull the code? i dont see how it would if I cant pull the code throught the jumper and the check engine light. thanks
Ok i finally totally eliminated the obd2-obd1 harness by installing the system to my friends integra thats obd1 o i did not need the harness to plug in the hondata. Well i still got the same probs. so at least I know its not that. Im gonna try using the mugen chip from my friends chiped p28 to see if my setup runs then, that way i can narrow it to the chip. any other ideas guys?
