ok when i drive around for a while i get a cel. and i go to check it by turning off the car and jumping the connector but the light doesnt comeback, only after driving a little bit, so how can i check the code? any ideas? thanks

 

check the light on the ecu, i think the code still flashes if the check engine light is not illuminated.. it should store the code at least.

 

so i would check the light on the ecu the same way i would check the cel? jump the harness and turn the key? and how would i check a stored code? thanks

goto FAQS and there should be instructions on how to check the CEL code and what it means.


Also, if you get a CEL and it goes away later on... that means the Car fixed the problem by itself, so that could be one of the options....

 

ok so i checked the light on my ecu and theres a light that blinks once. does the ecu normaly blink? or does it mean code 1? so thats the o2 sencor.
