Default CRX, re-work, re-paint, just re-do.

I have another crx that I am working on, but this one I am not getting as detailed on. I'll show some pics of what I have already done and will have some more up as I go along. I should be getting this done a little faster.

The car:
1989 CRX SI
Ls swap (soon to be turboed)

This is how I brought the POS home. I had to sell the 18's, trade off the nasty body kit and do a lot of body work that I did not know about.

I went ahead and re-did the batt box

Some of the surprises I did not know about. There was a patch of Bondo over this hole....

Now because of the body kit It is just to much for me to go and ether find a nice set of door trim and to much to buy them (well for this car)
So I am going to weld all the door holes closed and just put on the bottom trim.

Fender is done

door (I am so JDM)

Hole filling time

one for fun

A little something I made for it

and this is how she is sitting right now.

I have a lot of work to do. I have started sanding that damn $50.00 paint job everyone loves so much

This is why I say just don't do it. If your going to paint the damn car use real paint.

I'll have more updates soon and here is my other build......

We'll see............................

I was thinking of going with this. I had a spare head light and It kinda looks cool, but I don't know how legal it is.

I also got the driver fender about done. Holes are welded and I use a little bondo to get in the cracks.

Ok here some paint, only got the fenders and bumpers done, damn it was HOT!!!

new filters

and my new REX (his name) lol

Now the paint did not turn out as good as I would have liked, but it will do. The front bumper was pretty bad before I painted it but It's the onlt one I had, you can see the dent in the bumper. I am thinking of putting something there like a little Aluminum plate, not sure yet.

Well it is getting to be a pain in my *** that it rains everyday here.

Note: if you want to work all day drink the 5 hour energy drink, holy ****!!!
Had it not rained yesterday I think I could have finished the whole car.

OK, to the pics.

Hood is shaved and ready for paint.

Door:

Wiper hole:

And a little teaser

I may have to sand down the hood again, when I was sanding the black off I went a little to deep and scared it up pretty good, this may show up in the paint. O'well, I'll just hit it with the DA and call it a day. If the weather alows me I will hit it tonight after work.
