e-ram electronic supercharger
i know most people have written these off as junk, but the e-ram model won
best new product at sema:

http://www.electricsupercharge....html
the $300 version is 1psi of boost (800 cu.ft./min) and offers approx. 5% hp
gain. draws 62 amps of current (800+ watts) to a 1.2hp motor (pretty
ignificant electrical power).
for reference the stock turbo on an audi 1.8t only flows 400 cu.ft./min and
the cheaper ebay electric superchargers only draw 2.2 amps of current and
flow 200 cu.ft./min
the best part is they guarantee a 4% gain!
if you're not happy, get on the dyno, and show that it doesn't gain 4% thru
3k-6k and they'll refund your money (minus shipping) and pay for half the
dyno fee.

$40/hp for 7.5hp doesn't seem like too bad of a price.
looks interesting. i'd like to see someone try it on the accord. what do you
think?
PS. i know there's been many threads on here about these devices, and that
someone even got one off ebay and proved it was junk. but this e-ram model seems
promising....

Go ahead dude!! Buy the product and test it out for us! You be the guinea pig, i would love to see the lack of satisfaction you get get from this crap!
why so much "blind" hatred for the product.
i think most of the bad rep comes from the cheapo ebay models that are out there.
the physics behind this one seems fairly solid.
sucks up a lot of current (electrical power) and uses that to blow a lot of air into the intake (up to 1psi of pressure).
seems logical to me. as long as the numbers they advertise are realistic, it seems like it's probably more hp/dollar than something like the aem v2, etc.

Gas powered leaf blower ftw! draws 0amps, set that sucker on high and buckle up.
seriously though, ive never really believed in these things, putting little electric motors in an intake.. i dunno, id have to see it to believe it i guess, i could spend $300 on much better things tho

Don't get me wrong, I think this thing is pretty cool. But defeats the purpose of the turbo's pssssshhh... I was about to get this before. I mean some cars do have an E-Ram. They provide no turbo lag and maintenance free. So try it. The eBay ones are cheaper.
ok review
how much do people spend on turbos and superchargers? lets say 1000 at least, now this thing claims 5% hp gain and draws a **** ton of electricity so you're looking at either taking a hit on that or upgrade the alternator.
Seriously, if that thing does anything it's negligible. $300 is alot of money that like said earlier, could be spent on better things.

first off, i'd like to clarify that i have no idea if this works or not. but the discussion seems VERY one-sided.

people spend $1000+ on S/C or T/C and get 6-16 psi (or whatever) of boost and considerable power (pretty much as high of compression as the engine can handle).
the "e-ram" is $300 and gets only 1psi of boost for moderate horsepower gains.
8hp for $300 and super easy install seems reasonable (comparable to intake, ect.)
and 60 amps of current should be ok on a stock alternator (i've run sound systems which can dynamically draw more current than that without any problems).
but the "super e-ram" would NOT be ok on our stock alternator, so that's why i haven't really been looking at it ( and probably why they don't show it as an option for the 6th gen 4cyl).
if i had the extra money i'd try it, but no dyno near me so probably won't
if someone does have a dyno near them, why not take one for the team and try it?
if it does NOT give you 4% from 3k-redline then you get your money back and a half price dyno session

i'll look around for a dyno in MN.
if i can find one i'd love to "waste" $300 just for curiosity's sake
i happen to think it seems like a cool idea, and would love to see it actually work.
but without a dyno, if i don't like it, i'm screwed

There's dyno's near me, but any type of electric supercharger/turbocharger I doubt has any real gains, they can claim that it gains such and such. But I have a feeling if you try to return it they'd put you through so many hoops and hassles just to get some money out of them that it's not worth it.
lol i wish I had money to just throw at stuff but I do not have 300 to spare
http://www.electricsupercharger.com/guarantee.html
So you pay shipping + restocking fees + provides pictures of the install + dyno test runs signed by mechanic + it must be between 3000-6000rpm etc + must be all within 30 days of purchase
too much trouble in my opinion, but if i spent 300 bucks on one I'd probably do it haha

nuff said, just get a high comp piston and splitfire plug on the blower nix the muffler and CAI for blower...also tap into the output off th eblower intp the blower engine intake ftw

I'm interested in hearing how good/bad it is. If worse comes to worse, I'm sure you can return it.
