needle calibration...where to get it done?
i just bought a cluster from a guy with indigay needles and he took off his needles to put on the indiglo faces on... and he messed up the speedometer...etc... its way off now
question is, who can calibrate these needles? I recall people saying its possible...i just called up acura and they said i'd have to buy a new guage cluster b/c they dont recalibrate...
TIA

There is usually a speedo calibration section in your local Yellow Pages. Not sure how it is listed though. You could call the DMV and ask them what calibration shops they know of.

Are the indiglos still on the gauge cluster or no....???

anyhow, i wish there was a better way than just to plug and pray?
Do you have the stock needles then?? I put gauge faces on my girlfriends car(not indiglows) and the speedo is off by 10mph. All I did was have her drive next to me while I took the needle out and then put it back on at 60mph. Sounds kind of funny, but it worked. Set the cruise once the person tells you your at 60.
Wowee - swapping needles at 60 mph.
I wonder if this 'recalibration' would work with the rpm gauge needle, which is incredibly innacurate? You would need some aftermarket gauge to calibrate from.

Get a friend or buy a OBD scan tool, then you can get the accurate reading and adjust it. Be VERY carefull when removing the needles. They are fragile.
kinda makes you wonder why he was selling the gauges in the firstplace, you shold just replace it, not worth the hassle, the guy dicked you...
i have a vafc so the tach isnt the problem...its just the speedo which is off.... i tried to go out to a road, pace someone and mark that as 40...but then...people dont drive exactly on 40
