you won't NEED a radiator support, but you will want to get one if you're one of those people that needs everything to be just perfect. the 96-98 radiator support will hold up just fine with a little modification.

What modification needs to be done to the rad support if you keep the 96-08 one?

if you want to put the 99-00 on the 96-98 you need to cut like two small pieces on each sides for it to fit.

its about as played out as breathing.. but we still do it.. looks 100x better and comes out clean as hell.. no one notices if you do that conversion but they will notice if you don't have the conversion.. a must have for 96-98 owner

i can usually tell if they do the conversion because the rear bumper is still different.

the grill is wider and the hood and lights are different sizes. the bumper has a special place/holder for the fog lights.

they're the same shape yes, but the front bumper is different like ATEJ8FTW said they have the spot for the fog lights, also the headlights are different, the fenders are different, and the hood is a little longer. the grille is also different so they all need to be replaced. the tail lights have red/clear going on for the 99/00 while the 96-98 have amber white and red, oh and a difrerent rear bumper is used on the 99/00 which has better lines. I think i covered it about all....
