not true.
theres two ways to do the conversion, by cutting off your current rad. core support and welding on the 99-00 one, or the easier way. cut the two tabs on either side of your stock grill about two inches in and bolt everything on.
parts list:
headlights
bumper
fenders
hood
grill
search.

Re: 96 to 99-00 front end conversion? (knockout)
no need for the core supprt!!! unless you absolutely think it is a must have.... just for the hell of it.
but yea there are the mounting tab on the front bumper, one on each side of the grille, on the inside cut it a little bit to allow the metal piece from the frame to slide thru.
hard to explain, but buy the parts and when u get to it you will know what i am talkin about.
BEFORE
DURING
AFTER
PERFECT ALIGNMENT, CANT TELL IT WAS A CONVERSION
TRUST ME GET THE PARTS, it will all flow... here are the parts you need:
Front bumper, Grille, Fenders, hood, and headlights.
thats all there is to it.
Sorry for whoringgggg
