Default Civic Wheel Spacers

Just put on my wheels today and I decided I'm going to get wheel spacers in the rear. Think 5mm is enough? or should I look for 8mm or 10mm? They're 16x7, +42 offset.

Also, some come with extended wheel studs... Is it highly recommended to use these? I ask because I don't know the quality and don't want to jeopardize strength.

If you're asking if I'm rubbing, no.

You need at least six full turns on the lug nuts (although 6.5-7.0 is even better). If you don't have them after putting the spacers on, then you will need to get extended studs.

Ken, in your experience, do people have enough thread with OEM Honda studs and, say, a 5mm spacer and the typical wheels that people use? (Spoon, Volks, Kosei, etc.)

Is there a particular 5x114.3 5mm spacer that you are comfortable recommending?

I would assume for looks or the misconception that a 5mm wider stance will improve performance. To each his own.
