Default I know its been covered: Fuel Cut Off Switch

Can somebody email me directions to a fuel cut off switch. Friend of mine wants to have one installed on his Civic and I figure it is good to practice on somebody else's car.

Email: dr_evian@yahoo.com

Thanks

get to the fuel pump. open up the tape that surrounds the wires. Cut the yellow and link it through there.

Yeah, that seems simple enough, but I thought there was more involved as far as grounding it properly and attaching a relay.

no, go to radioshack. buy a 2 dollar automotive switch. and use that. no grounds, no relays. you DONT cut the ground, ONLY the yellow wire. I have done this with three cars and no complaints.

I thought I need to use a switch that can "match" the fuel pump electricial system...someone told me that the switch may blow if it's overload then no fuel supply when you driving.
