Default Itg Filters

For those running ITG filters on your ITB's or specifically on Sidedrafts what part # have you ordered and from where? Input is appreciated.

I can look up the Pipercross part number for the one piece foam with one piece backing plate--that is what I run on my carbs--identical to ITG--although some people say the ITGs are a little better quality. there is a pic in the carburetor post..

go to http://www.truechoice.com you order the backing plate seperate (or you can make one, its just a simple aluminum sheet which you will have to drill yourself anyway for the carb runners) and you can get the foam filter from 2" all the way to 6" deep if you can fit it.

I run the pipercross filters, and from what I have been told are very similar to the ITG. Only lost about 2-3whp on the dyno.

I used this base plate http://truechoice.com/prodinfo...C6006 with this filter http://truechoice.com/prodinfo...C604D

They work great on my TWM ITB's.

right, exactly what I use. There are the same style, but I hear ITG has beefier base plates.

I had a ITG filter on my turbo and it almost ruined it.
There is a kind of screen inside the filter which came almost completely loose and was being sucked in by the turbo.

Thank god I saw it before it got completely sucked in.

That was a cone filter though, right? These ITB/Carb filters are one-piece about 13-17" wide--they do have the metal screen inside to give support but its pretty beefy.

those are nice--they look like they are made by Pipercross or ITG for Jenvey. One thing with the foam, you really have to use the sticky, sticky oil they provide or else the filtering (as far as trapping debris) isn't very good.
