Tire Pressures with Yokohama A032R
Just thought I'd let everyone know that the A032R is very sensitive to proper tire pressures. A week ago, I ran the first session at Road America with 30 psi all around, and the car felt like absolute dogsh*t. I was like, WTF??? The car wouldn't stick at all, and was almost uncontrollable in the corners. Before the next session, I pumped them up to Honda's recommended 35F/33R and it was just fine after that.
Sounds pretty high. Were those measurements cold, or hot? Mine were when the tires were cold.
The A032R were 205/50-15.

that was the tyre pressure when cold and when warmed up they where around 46 Front and i cant remeber the rear but i would say in the 42 psi region!
have you tried the 195/55 R15 setup before?...how is the grip levels on the 205/50 15 setup?...worth the extra tyre diameter?

I doubt that 10 mm of tread width is going to make all that much difference though.

Thanks for the tire pressure tips.
I'll finally be trying out my 205/50/15's on my new 7.5 inch wide SSRs.
Just in time for the drive out to the expo, tracking days, and return drive to VA.

I have used= (cold pressures)
PR=36
DR=37
PF=38
DF=39
and:
PR=36
DR=38
PF=38
DF=39
These all depending on what the road course looks like.. how many right handers.. how many left handers? These are mostly on a dry track. I weigh in at about 210-215lbs. They are good starting points anyway, then you could adjust accordingly.

I usually put in 36F/34R(COLD) for my T1-S, 032, 038, 048, RA1 etc for track days. And goes higher when I go to auto-x. Tire size is 195/55R15.
Some ppl I know with 225/55R16(??) used 44F/40R (COLD) on their Subarus with 032 during last Sunday's auto-x event. But everyone lowered their tire pressure a bit during the afternoon when the ground gets hot in the afternoon.
