Default Tire ?'s, correct psi? potenza's in cold weather?

I have 15's 195/50/15... blah blah blah... i have potenza re750's tires are two months old at most, getting pretty damn cold out (but no snow yet).. not gettin to much traction... i recently had an oil change by grease monkey (stupid i know) but its frigid out. they set the psi at 42 from what i am gettin on a tire gauge... thought that was to high so i lowered it to 35... but i'm not getting any traction and less that when it was at 42psi... maybe the gauge is off... the tire says the pressure should be at 50 psi, can that be right? what is the corrcet tire pressure?? and does anyone know if those tires just don't handle well in cold weather? any info will help thank you

35 on the street.

MAX psi does not mean what you should run. I have my tires at 35 regardless of the season or tire.

not too familiar with the tires but that pressure is way way too high. i run 32-35 max on my tires.
