i have a 94 accord. I get a check engine light only on cold starts after i start driving. when the light comes on, i turn the car off, then on, and the light doesnt come back on. this light is annoying me and i want to get the code that is throwing this light on. Can someone please tell me where the diagnostic connector is located in a 94 accord so i can get the code. i know i have to short the connector but i cant find it. the accord was originally a dx, but i put the vtec motor in, but im sure that has nothing to do with it.
someone please help asap. i got a huge car show coming up and this light is killin me

 

there is a blue plug bbehind your glove box
plug ina jumper wire and turn ket to 'acc' position and wait for the code to blink, it also explains this in the all the manuals

is there anyone that has a 94-97 accord and has actually found this blue connector for getting these codes? its just that i have been told that it is behind the glovebox, behind the center console, and a few other places. my interior is all custom and before i go ripping it apart looking for this connector, i want to know exactly where it is, or very close. i dont have my manual but if someone does and good look this up, i would appreciate it

On 5G Accords, it's behind the glovebox, kinda to the right. On Civics & Tegs, it's behind the console...

 

6th gen accords it is in the same location as it is in the civic under the dash right ontop of where the dead petal is.

 

are u atlking about the drivers side or the passengers side? and isnt a 6th gen accord 98 and up. my question was concerning 94-97 accords which i think is 5th gen

 

get in your car on the passenger side. look up under the glove compartment,
to the far right side. it's about 1-2 inches back and about an inch up. it resides in a blue snap-in harness holder. it's pretty easy to get.

 

Yours is on the passenger side and yes the 6th gen is 98 and up. I was just listing this info for anyone that may have this question about a 6th gen.
