Ls turbo- LS or Gsr tranny? Did search!
big boost 15psi+ = LS
lower then 15psi = don't even bother changing your trans if you have one. the LS tranny has an open diff so good luck doing a decent burnout. it's up to you though. a gsr would probably get you downthe track quicker if your running lower boost.

on 22" slicks, trap speeds under 110, GSR tranny will make u faster when on a stock LS redline.. after that u will have to raise your redline or shift into 5th in the 1/4.. but personally, I dont think its really worth the swap cause in turn u will loose alot of highway gear.

Its actually all about taking both trannies and making one heezy one. use the GSR trans but put the LS final drive in it. It will give you slightly longer gears but with the ncie close ratio of the GSR 3rd 4th and 5th.
