ITR FRONT swaybar on my 96 DX
i just recently installed an ITR front sway bar on my 96 DX coupe and i noticed it hangs very low under the frame. it looks like it can get snagged if something is sticking out of the ground. i looks like two u-loops.
i know i installed it correctly (or did i?) and it functions correctly too. i was just wondering why it hangs so low
?! everything works fine, no rubbing, no problems other than a lower ground clearance
.
setup:
-ITR FRONT swaybar (bushings, brackets, endlinks)
-ITR front lower arms (attached to DX rear bushings, DX brackets, and DX front lower portion of the arm where the balljoint goes)

It's incorrectly installed. The middle hump is supposed to go over the exhaust right next to the subframe.
EDIT: The third pic looks like it's installed correctly, but I don't know why it hangs so low. Do you have the endlink bolting the sway going from bottom to top, or top to bottom?

how come you didnt just bump the other thread you started on this same topic a few weeks ago? i was wondering what happend, you just stopped postin.
the thread was archieved! it was weird i couldn't post on it.
anywho thanks for the responses and the pic willie. however you have a different bar than mine. look again at mine. after the bushing the bar bends downwards then up again. yours just goes straight then up. weird.
the order of installation to the arm is as follows (from top to bottom): swaybar, endlink, lower arm. is this correct?

i'm 100% sure it's installed correctly. ah i can see how you guys are thinking that it's upside down. if that were the case there would only be ONE loop sticking out. in my case there are two! and yes the bar still goes over the exhaust (i had to unbolt it from the header when installing).
maybe i have a 98-spec bar?!

Wouldnt it have been easier to use a 99-00 SI front bar? EK vs Teg chassis is different. Was it wide enuff across both front arms? Try turning it over as everyone has said.

you installed it wrong bud.. you have to remove your cat and b-pipe (or let it all hang) to put on the front sway bar just uninstall it and flip around
