ITR front sway bar on my 96 DX
i just recently installed an ITR front sway bar on my 96 DX coupe and i noticed it hangs very low under the frame. it looks like it can get snagged if something is sticking out of the ground. i looks like two u-loops.
i know i installed it correctly (or did i?) and it functions correctly too. i was just wondering why it hangs so low ?!
EDIT! pics up! everything works fine, no rubbing, no problems other than a lower ground clearance .

have you been under a car? regardless of front or rear the swaybar does not hang lower than the exhaust.
i was under the impression all ek's had a stock front sway? i have an em1, so i dont know about the lower trim levels

dx's and i think cx's didn't have front bars nor arms to mount them. you need either HX/EX front arms or Si/CTR front arms
HX/EX bars mount differently than Si/CTR
i'm sure the itr bar will fit si/ctr arms.. just now 100%

can a sway bar be installed "upside down"?
its the only way i could picture it being low enough to "snag" something..... but i couldn't imagine someone actually doing it..
i hope you admit to whatever you may have done....

Re: (instrument)
im hoping he's using a subframe kit! i think we all know how weak the 96-00 subframes are. and the 96 DX LCAs came w/ holes for the endlinks

Re: (BlueIntegraBoy)
You need to run EX front lca's (Si/CTR will NOT work because of the way their bars are mounted). Your DX did not come with a factory front sway bar and your stock front lca's do not have the mounting holes. Your sway bar hangs real low because you haven't bolted the endlinks to the lca's.

Yea, it's supposed to curve up into your subframe towards the front of where your center shift console is, above the exhaust and above the shift linkage.

dang fellas here's the skinny.
i'm using an ITR front sway bar with ITR lower control arms. i just used the half of the lca that has the hole for the endlink. the rest (i.e. bushings, brackets, portion that the balljoint attaches to) are all DX parts!
i'm sure they are installed correctly, and over the exhaust/shift linkage. it just swings pretty low, which is the main topic of this thread kids.
i'm sure pics will clear everything so i'll get some ASAP! hang tight!
