Which teg seats will bolt in my ef hatch??
I need some new seats asap and want integra seats...
Will either 90-93 or 94-97 seats bolt right in my 91 hatch. If not what modification must be done. How hard would it be to swap my ef rails onto the teg seats, or is swapping the rails even necessary? Thanks

Hey I just swapped a 1998 Integra drivers side seat into my 90 Civic in about 20 minutes. Unbolt the stock crappy seat and set it on fire away from the car, then put in the 94-01 Integra seat. The bolt at the front right, right beside the console, will line up. Then what I did was drill a hole into the floor where the other front hole lines up and bolt it using the bolt that originally held down the civic seat in that relative location. Make the hole a a decent amount smaller so you really have to crank that sucker in there. Then I used a drill and drilled right through the bottom of the car from the interior in the 2 back holes in the seat rails. I am sure people will say thats bad but that way I was able to run a long bolt all the way through and bolt it down from the top and bottom of the floor. I used a bunch of washers because the seat rails in the back will sit about 3/4" above the floor and that made it sit on the washers. Then just feed 2 long bolts all the way through, use 2 fat washers on the under the car to really spread out the load where you will be cranking the bolts into. Then I used a rust spray paint and doused the underside where the bolts and washers are. Sounds good? Tell me what you all think.
I had 90-93 teg seats in my crx, but since my original rails were in bad condition when I bought the car I never tried to swap the rails out, so I'm also curious to know if thats the correct way to do it. I had to modify the teg rails, which involves cutting and welding.

The correct way to put integra seats in your car is pretty simple: swap out the seatpans for your civic/crx/hb pans, use your original rails. Period.
Alright, did some searching and found this. Looks like swapping seat pans is the best way to go, because even when I modified my teg rails the seats sat higher.

I dropped in some 93 DA seats in my CRX. But as stated above, drilling holes on your weak floor is NOT SAFE !!!! Your car has REINFORCED areas to where your seats need to be bolted down to.
I bought some 1/8" steel and fabricated some brackets that would mount up to my exsisting points. The seats are now sturdy and SAFE.
and I must say they look damn good too !!!!

u can fit the 94 and up seats with no problem no need to drill or anythin just need a lil man power and a fille i hope i spelled the freakin thing right so all u do is, one of the bolts in the front will line up the other one will not so u choose wich one u want to line it up and bolt it down for the other side all u do is fille thing down a lil bit to the side and put a bold on it and like use a lil power so u can get it to line up perfect and bold that thing down that simple no drillin nottin i have gsr front and back seats in my 4 door civic so that was the ez way to do it for me....
The way I see it is really if you get in an accident you are held in place with your SEATBELT, not your damn seat. The front 2 bolts on the seat are in very nicely and one is in the stock location, one is within an inch of the stock location but in the same reinforced area. The rear 2 are VERY sturdy and I have no doubts that anything would happen to my seat bolts in an accident. My weight would go off the seat and I would be held in place by the seatbelt. And then I would take the cash from the insurance settlement and buy another EF.
Wrong... if you think about it, the seat is actually part of the restraint system. Its attached to the car, you're sitting in it strapped to it with the seat belt. Here's how I know:
I was wearing my seatbealt stopped at a traffic light when I was rear ended by a Monte Carlo doin' 55... the seat retaining bolts sheared off the floorpan rails. Meanwhile, the car continued to move forward due to the impact. My car's forward motion stopped when it hit the car in front of me. Thus me and the now free to move seat were slammed into the windshield. I woke up on the floor of the car looking up at the ceiling wondering what the hell just happened.
Oh, the seatbelt was still buckled and attached to the car.

Just make your own...and use existing mounting holes.

2 flat bars across each seat...mount stock rails, use washers to level the seats...
*Use heavy duty nuts and bolts...

BOTH of the crxes ive owned have had the rear rail mounts blown out and Ive had a hugeee (probably 1/4 thick 3in by 3in) steel plate on top of the seat rail and on the undercarage with some thick *** bolts/good nuts holding them down if that helps any.
My car has the seatbelt mounted to the car on the B pillar and mounted to the floor, not the seat. The Integra seat I got came with the seat belt plug in but I removed it and am using the stock one that is mounted to the floor. So I dont understand what the problem is.
So were my seatbelts... they were still securely mounted to the car, but the thing between me and the car was no longer part of the car, it and I were free to move.
What I'm saying is, unless you and the seat are strapped to the car with a safety harness that's like say a 4 or 5 point harness system, a factory three point harness system will not provide adequate protection if the seat is free to move because so are you. There's nothing holding you to the car any longer once the seat is no longer attached to the car.

I have a gsr cloth driverseat. What i did was just ream out the holes on the rail and use a few washers to prevent the bolt from walkin around. You have to ream out one of the front brackets (facing the firewall) and the right rear bracket in order for the others to line up. Mine has absolutely no play, bolted surely to the floorboard (plus i get to use my 4 point harness).
