<FONT COLOR="blue"> So finally after 5 months of my Si seats lying around, all i thought i needed was 88/89 rails, but nope u need the pans aswell. I came up on some 88/89 pans w/ rails from lunchboxEF91
So peeps get an idea on how to do this, here are some pics of the swap
1st unbolt both sides of the bottom seat portion. u just need to unbolt the bottom two (this is what holds the bottom and upper portions of the seat together)

The other side is held in by this allen key bolt

Now undo the clips that hold the seat cloth, I used needle nose pliers

Now tug on the pan and mine were pretty hard to get out (The side that is held in by the allen bolt, is a bitch and might take some work to get out)

Heres the 90/91 seat pan****So anyone in a need of both driver and pass. 90/91 pans and rails, they foo sale***

Now just put everything back together and now u got a 90/91 seat that bolts into a 88/89

Here they are installed

Thanks bro.
I had a question though to any1 that has done a seat pan swap...I ended up having to switch the driver and pass. side seats. The pan that fit into the driver side seat was the pass. side and vice versa. Anyone experience this???

So does the seat recline lever sit on the insides rather than the outsides of the seats?
BTW anyone that has 88-89 drivers rails, I could use some...for cheap cheap though

not tryin to show off, but when you have an armrest, i wonder how tight it gets to recline.
This would be a good way to get my ef9 seats with me getting the lumbar support adjuster also
TOO BAD I don't have my stock 88 dx seats anymore

they should.
they should.
that **** didnt work for me lol. i tried swapping my 88's for 91 hatch seats, and the ******* allen bolt didnt line up where the asspart connects to the backpart. so it only connected on one side
that sucks, thought they were the same, im currenlty working on a 90 rolling chassis car, i thought i would use my 88 seats in em, but i guess not. well i dont knwo if its worth the trouble of swapping seats over. may pick up a set of SI seats then for the proper year.
I may do that too, i have a 91 civic hatch that i may end up selling and it has 91 SI seats that more than likely will put in my 88 crx, i did the measurements and 88-89 is more narrow than 90-91 which is wider.
