Got my dirtbike
I just bought a 2004 cr250 with only an hour of riding on it. I know the guy and hes my bf uncle. the tires still have the green and red stripes that go around them. It still has breaking in fluid in it. I also got a brand new thro helmet, oakly goggles, thor gloves and chest protector. Picking her up tuesday.

Good choice. I had an 03 and it was a great bike. As a matter of fact I ran into the guy I sold it to today at a local riding spot. You'll be glad you didn't get the 125 after you get comfortable on it. Be gentle with the throttle. She will take off with very little twist.

I think 2-strokes are better suited with knobbies although I have seen a couple of street legal CR500's set up for supermoto that looked like fun.

finally got her. went out riding for about 20 min, becuase i was freezing my *** off. anyway when she is all warmed up, she tears ***. every gear is off the ground. whole front end up!
How in the hell could anyone stand owning a nice bike like that for two years and only riding it for an hours amount of time. It really boggles my mind, not even gonna think about the money that was wasted to buy it, get no ride time out of it, and then even sell it for $500 less than was paid for it; foolish people I guess. It's great for you though.
today i went out and started my bike, and let it sit there and warm up. when i came back out there was a black puddle on the ground. I looked over the bike and where the 2 pieces of the pipe connect, black sh*t is coming out. Is it just a small leak and i need to tighten it, or is it somthing more serious. It dripped down all over my bike i tryed to clean it as best as i can, but tongiht when i get home from work or tomarrow ill clean it more. Please let me know what you guys think.

its kinda coming out the tip of the exhuast but mainly where the pipes connect. It doesnt do it when im riding just when its sitting there
Know I don't feel like an ***, because I know people who have gone out and bought brand new bikes and quads, ride them a few hours and sell them, one reason I commented was to find out why this guy had a bike for a couple years and only rode an hour.
just checked my spark plug and the electrode or the tip is golden brown and about 3 threads are black like oil on them. I think that is normal, so basically i just have a exhuast leak and thats nothing. Also im just wondering, do you guys put stabalizer in the gas tank for the winter, or you cant becuase its 2 stroke? how do you guys winterize your bikes? Drain all fluids out. If i dont drain the fluids then i will start it like 3 times a week. What's the best way?
